I marvel at how how powerful we really are but often how childish and foolish we act on such trivial things, problems and trials of life… ( Christ is be ye therefore perfect as our Father in Heaven is Perfect – do you know who we really are – how we see our selves and others is a major blessing or problem depending on our views and understanding to say the least…)!
We see Moses dividing the red sea – we Adam naming all things – we see Abraham offering up his only son, we see Saul becoming Paul, story after story – who are we – what powers do we really have access too? What are we really capable of doing and being?
Tossing a mountain into the sea, stopping the earth from rotating, stopping waters from flowing down stream, raising the dead, stopping armies, and many more things, great and small – mean of corn not ceasing, stopping waves of sea, killing giants, giving birth to children who have a heavenly Father, serving great wars, great accidents, great storms, crossing seas, and so many other things, going to moon, going to other planets, other solar systems, dying and not tasting of death, coming from the spirit world, stepping into the presence of God, talking face to face with God, and so many other things – as son and daughters of God and Goddesses – is there really in time if we are faithful that we will not be able to do?
Doctrine and Covenants section 4
3 Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are acalled to the work; ( All of us are called to this work – and we don’t even know it yet! )
4 For behold the afield is white already to bharvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in cstore that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul; ( Is not that our duty to save all we can – do this work with all our might, mind and strength? )
5 And afaith, bhope, ccharity and dlove, with an eeye single to the fglory of God, gqualify him for the work. ( How faithful are we – What hope can we share with down trodden? What Love can we share and bestow upon others as we serve them? Is our hearts minds and hands – single to the Glory of God? Not our Glory? )
6 Remember faith, avirtue, knowledge, btemperance, cpatience, dbrotherlyekindness, fgodliness, charity, ghumility, hdiligence. ( Mindful and working on Virtue, faithfulness, Knowledge of Godliness, including temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, all forms of Godliness, including humility and diligence etc. etc. The live of Jesus Christ in all things – what would he – Christ want us to think, say and do – as if he were here with us today as we do his will not ours? )
( How do we Ask, how do we receive and how do we know so – his – God’s will is done not our own will? I and so many others have such a long way to go! )
2 Peter 1
( What great promises are we missing out on because of sin? As we partake of our divine nature – we can escape the corruption of the natural man! )
( How diligent are we? In our Virtue and knowledge of God? )
( Do we control our temper our words thoughts or deeds? In patience and in all forms of Godliness and love etc.?)
8 For if these things be in you, and aabound, they make you that ye shallneither be bbarren nor cunfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ( If we do these things we will fruitful in the knowledge of Godliness and Jesus Christ and our power in both Christ and our Power to become like Him and His Father! )
